Atlanta office · New Orleans stays
Reserve New Orleans trips from an Atlanta travel agency, priced by the night and measured by the walk
These are New Orleans trips from an Atlanta travel agency, planned in one suite in West Midtown: nine stays, each built around one street corner in the city and measured on foot to Jackson Square. Packages run from $265 to $785 per person, two sharing a room, with the hotel nights and the named classes, suppers or visits inside the figure.

Nine stays, nearest the square first
The red line beside each stay is its real walk, traced along the streets from the stay's corner to Jackson Square and drawn at the same scale as the other eight, which sit faintly behind it. The ladder runs from five minutes on foot to seventy seven. You can reserve a New Orleans vacation package from any rung, or ask the planner to start from a corner of your own.

Four of the neighborhoods, from the closest to the farthest
A stay in the city is mostly a choice of streets. These four cover the range, and the page on where to stay in New Orleans walks through all eleven corners the office measured.
Why every walk ends at Jackson Square
The square in front of the cathedral is where most first days in New Orleans begin, and it sits between the river, the old streets of the Quarter and the edge of downtown. Measuring every stay to the same point makes the nine comparable: a stay seventeen minutes out is seventeen minutes out by the same streets, at the same unhurried pace, for everyone.
The minutes come from a street routing service built on open map data, rounded up to the whole minute, and the route itself is what you see drawn on each stay. Nothing about a neighborhood is scored or ranked here; the walk is a distance, and the rest is in the words on each page.
When a walk passes forty minutes, the page says which streetcar line runs nearby. Fares are paid on board and stay outside the price, because the office reserves rooms, classes, suppers and visits, and leaves the getting about to you.

What a from-price holds
- The hotel, inn, guesthouse or bed and breakfast for every night of the stay, figured for two people sharing a room.
- Any nightly charge the hotel adds to every guest, folded into the figure rather than added later.
- The classes, suppers, concerts and museum visits the stay names, with their dates fixed in the quote.
- A written itinerary that names every supplier, with addresses and each one's own cancellation terms.
Left with you: road, taxes, valet, extra meals
- The trip to New Orleans and back. From Atlanta it is about 470 miles by road.
- State and city hotel taxes and the per-room nightly charge set by the state and city, collected by the hotel at checkout.
- Meals beyond the ones named, and tips.
- Hotel parking, usually charged by the night in the Quarter and downtown.
How each figure is worked out, line by line, is on the page about New Orleans vacation package prices. The order of events, from your first message to checkout, is on the page about how to reserve a trip with a travel agent.
A block past the square, the river
Every walk on this site ends at Jackson Square, and the square sits a block from the levee. Cross the street on the river side, climb the steps and the riverside walk runs both ways along the Mississippi, with benches facing the bend. It is the first place most visitors stand still, and it costs nothing.
The planner's itinerary marks it on your walk from the hotel, with the hour the light is best for that week: early morning in summer, late afternoon from November to February.

Name the week and the corner
The form takes New Orleans requests 24/7. A planner in the Atlanta office answers in writing by the end of the next planning day, Tuesday to Saturday, with a written quote that names the hotel and every operator, their prices and their own cancellation terms.
